| You have displayed a tendency we all
have: to do things we are not supposed to do. You could have
browsed freely through millions of other websites, but you decided to
disobey. That tendency is called "sin." Sin
started in the Garden of Eden. God created a wonderful paradise
and gave it to Adam and Eve. They could do anything they wanted and
eat anything they wanted. The only rule God gave them was that they
could not eat from the tree of knowledge of good and evil. However,
just as you clicked this link, Adam and Eve also ate from the
forbidden tree. They chose to disobey God's warning.
When Adam disobeyed God, he brought sin into the world. Sin brought
a bunch of consequences, the most terrible was death. Sin brought
physical and spiritual death into the world and would eternally
separate mankind from God.
But Jesus Christ, the Creator, loved us so much that He died on the
cross and paid the penalty for our sins. He offers each one of us
forgiveness. Jesus Christ is the only way to gain forgiveness so that
we can live eternally with God in heaven. We must accept His
gift of forgiveness, it cannot be earned. How do we accept this gift?
Believe in Jesus Christ as your savior, the one through whom we gain
access to the Father. Your faith is all that is required. As you come
to know Jesus better, you desire to do His will. We please God when we
act in obedience...
If you desire to accept Jesus as your Savior pray this simple
prayer:
Lord Jesus, I am a sinner. I have messed up in my
life. But Jesus, I believe you died on the cross to
forgive me of my sin, and you rose from the dead to give me eternal
life. I ask you to come into my life and be my Lord and
Savior. Thank you for saving me. Amen.
If you prayed that prayer, you can be assured that you are
saved. Scripture tells you that you are "a new creation,
the old has gone and the new has come." Romans 10:9 says,
"That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord,"
and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will
be saved." Please email us and let us know if you just
accepted Christ as your Savior. We would like to send you some
material to help you grow in your new life. |
